The Story
The European Parliament is calling on the EU, in a resolution adopted on Thursday, to consider deploying a naval operation in the Black Sea and to accelerate the operational launch of the Black Sea Maritime Security Hub in Romania and Bulgaria. Strongly condemning the latest attacks that resulted in casualties off the coasts of Bulgaria and Romania, as well as repeated violations of Romanian airspace, the European Parliament holds Russia responsible for attacking civilian vessels and escalating its war of aggression against Ukraine in the western Black Sea.
